IDENTIFICATION AND OBJECTIVE
The Research Group for health services and policies responsible for the project “Atlas of Variations in Medical Practice” (Atlas VPM), part of the Instituto Aragonés de Ciencias de la Salud (IACS), with address at Avenida San Juan Bosco, No. 13, 50009 Zaragoza, with company VAT No. (CIF) Q-5000654C and with electronic office on the website http://www.iacs.es/, informs the users of the website https://cienciadedatosysalud.org/ (hereinafter “website”) that the IACS is a Public Law entity associated with the Department in charge of Health in the Autonomous Community of Aragon, having legal identity, its own equity instruments, and full capacity to comply with purposes of collaboration in the development of the Aragon Health System services, by means of human resource training, research promotion, consultancy and cooperation, and increasing the knowledge on population health and its determinants.
In agreement with the indications of EU Directive 2016/679 and of the rest of the legal regulations on personal data protection of the European Union or of its member states on data protection, the Group is committed to fulfil its obligation of secrecy about personal data and treat them with confidentiality, and has adopted the means necessary to prevent the alteration, loss, treatment or unauthorised access to such data, always bearing in mind the state of technology with respect to the indications of the legislation about matters of personal data protection applicable in Spain at any time.
The Group can update this privacy policy, so the user should review it regularly.

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Through its forms, the Group collects the following personal information needed for providing its services: last name(s) and email address, street address, city and telephone number, language and interests.
It also obtains information from your navigation on the website, such as the date and time of access, the time each user remains on the website, the number of visits, the place from which the users access the website, the webpages visited and the files that are downloaded.
The cookies used by the website are associated only with an anonymous user and the device from which the website is accessed, relying only on access to the IP address assigned the users by the telecommunications operator.
The users can configure their browsers to notify them on screen of the reception of cookies and to prevent their installation in their devices. Please consult the instructions and user manuals for your browser for further information. To use the website, the user does not need to permit the installation of the cookies sent by the website, or by the third party that acts in its name, even though the user may need to initiate a session as a user in each of the services whose service provision requires the previous registration or login.
The website servers can automatically detect the IP address and the domain used by the user. All this information is registered in the servers’ activity file that enables later data processing to obtain merely statistical measurements that make it possible to know the number of times pages are printed, the number of visits to the web services web, the order of visits, etc.

HOW DO WE OBTAIN YOUR INFORMATION?
The Group your personal data when you create a user account to access the private part of Atlas VPM (https://cienciadedatosysalud.org/login) or when you subscribe to newsletters.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?
The user accepts the incorporation of the data provided into one or several automated files, owned by the Group, for the purpose of:
• Managing and processing petitions made using website forms.
• Administering your user account.
• Statistical analysis of website visits and user behaviour on the website.
• Sending physical and electronic communications related to the project “Atlas of Variations in Medical Practice,” as well as any informative communication about activities carried out, whether they are the Groups own activities or those of third parties in which it directly participates. The user must obligatorily facilitate the personal data that are indicated to be essential for performing its service. In this sense, a mark has been placed next to each section that makes it possible to identify the obligation or lack of obligation to provide such data. If the data are not given and they are essential for providing the service, it will not be possible to perform it.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR DATA VERACITY
The user will be liable for the veracity of the data given and will be responsible for communicating any modification of these data to the unit, which reserves the right to exclude from the registered services any user that has given false or fraudulent data, without prejudice to the other actions applicable under law.

EXERCISE OF YOUR RIGHTS
To exercise the right to access, modify, oppose or cancel personal information, the user can send a written petition to the Group at atlasvpm.iacs@aragon.es.
