The group Data science for research in health services and policies recognised as a research group of the Government of Aragon, in calls 2017-2019 and 2020-2022, whose PI is Enrique Bernal-Delgado continues to be recognised through this last call 2023-2025 (B02_23R), and therefore receiving a grant to carry out the research activity, detailed below.
The purpose of the aid requested is to support coordination, which is substantiated in the design, implementation and deployment of the methodological and technological arsenal necessary for the development of three projects whose purpose is the international comparison of the care received by patients with hip fracture.
This grant is requested to support the coordination of three research projects on cohorts of hip fracture patients.
1. Differences in the use of drugs in frail patients and risk of hip fracture due to fall.
2. Discharge home after an episode of hip fracture
3. Delay in hip fracture surgery as a predictor of poor health outcome.
